Cirque du SoleilCirque du Soleil when translated means “Circus of the Sun,” and it was created in the 1980s by two French-Canadian street performers, Guy Laliberté and Daniel Gauthier. Since that time it has seen growing success and has become a mainstay of the Las Vegas entertainment scene. Take a trip to Las Vegas and choose from five stunning Cirque du Soleil shows. It will be an experience you won’t soon forget.

If you want to see a traditional Cirque du Soleil show with daring acrobatics and flashy special effects, then buy tickets to “Mystère” at Treasure Island. The basic theme of the show is that life is mysterious; characters include a confused clown and more than 70 other bizarre creatures. This show has been named “Best Production Show in Las Vegas” eight times.

Another of the Cirque du Soleil shows, “O,” has also received the honor of “Best Production Show in Las Vegas.” In this show, which takes place at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino, swimmers, divers and acrobats perform in a 1.5 million gallon tank that takes up the entire stage. Like an underwater opera, its unique use of water makes it like no other show.

Zumanity” at New York, New York Casino is a Cirque du Soleil show aimed exclusively at adults. Love and sensuality are the core ideas of this show. Featuring 50 flirty performers who flaunt a little naughtiness, this show combines burlesque, acrobatic and cabaret-style entertainment. Zumanity is sure to get things heated you up.

If Zumanity is too steamy for your taste, you might want to check out “.” In this show you’ll get to see fire, incredible special effects and the classic Cirque du Soleil acrobatics enhanced with martial arts and puppetry.

Last but not least, “LOVE” is a terrific show for fans of the Beatles. It’s not your typical Cirque du Soleil show, but this tribute to the Fab Four is done with the same quality you would expect.
