When you’re in Branson, take time to explore the exciting life of Western idols Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. The Roy Rogers – Dale Evans Museum will reintroduce you to these endearing celebrities and the great music that they shared with the world. You’ll get to experience their legacy through a variety of mediums. The museum will give you a glimpse into Roy’s and Dale’s personal lives, and there’s a show performed by Roy “Dusty” Rogers Jr. that brings to life the classic sounds that Roy made famous. You can choose one or both of the experiences.
The museum is a tribute to the “King of Cowboys” and the “Queen of the West.” You’ll see a special exhibit dedicated to Roy’s horse Trigger, as well as a beat up old car that the family drove from Ohio to California. There’s also lots of memorabilia that includes family photos of such things as Roy in overalls standing next to his first horse. You’ll discover beautiful Western costumes and elaborate parade saddles. If you’re at all a Western fan, you’ll love it.
Take a trip down memory lane while you watch Roy “Dusty” Rogers Jr. perform the music that was made famous by his parents. Listen to the tales of his childhood and find out what it was like growing up as the son of this famous duo. At the end of the intimate show he even solicits questions from the audience. It’s truly an experience you will cherish.
The museum is open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
