Touring Titanic
September 18, 2008
Visit Branson’s Titanic, a phenomenal two-story museum in the shape of the Titanic and about half scale to the original. It’s a wonderful interactive experience where you get to take on the persona of a real passenger on the ship’s maiden voyage. Explore the halls and see familiar features like the Grand Staircase replica while you learn the history of the ship’s tragic past.
When you enter you’ll be given a ticket with the name of an actual passenger and the class they were traveling. Stroll your way through the exhibits to the Memorial Room and you’ll find out if your passenger survived the catastrophe. The museum is filled with more than 400 artifacts taken from the ship’s halls, decks and rooms. Kids and adults will enjoy the hands-on activities that make the experience entertaining. Try to send an SOS signal from the ship’s wireless room. View a one-of-a-kind exhibit of the only known Titanic interior and exterior photos. Check out the iceberg exhibit, the interactive bridge area and the first class replica. If you’re a movie buff, you’ll enjoy the exhibit highlighting James Cameron’s hit movie Titanic. Feast your eyes on a number of pieces from the set including a 155-carat blue sapphire necklace worth $250,000.
Tickets are $25.95 for adults and $16.10 for children.
