A Hike Through History (and Pre-History!)

In 1942, a turn-of-the-century hotel in the Ozark Mountains was gutted by a fire. The three-story structure, which had been built as a mansion retreat by a wealthy Kansas City family, was reduced to its stone walls in just a few hours. Today, those walls are the best-known feature at Ha Ha Tonka State Park, just a few miles from Osage Beach, Missouri on the Lake of the Ozarks. Read more
